My sister and I had a wonderful time birding with Chris at the Western Treatment Plant in mid August. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable birder. We saw about 80+ species of birds. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to hire a good birding guide in Melbourne.

This was a first rate experience. Chris Doughty is not only an excellent birding guide but also a genuinely nice man. He quickly identified every bird we saw and was great at getting me to see where they were. Although I did see a few of the birds first he was quick to spot new birds as we continued the tour and ensured that I was quick to spot them as well. Needless to say I had an excellent time.

I was in Melbourne for 2 weeks and arranged a day with Chris mainly in search of Laughing Kookaburra and got so much more. Chris has years of experience and recognises birds simply by their sounds. It was a fun and great experience with him, and I highly recommend him to fellow bird watchers and bird photographers.

Excellent bird tour, have seen 86 species at Werribee. Chris was a very knowledgeable (and patient) tour guide. I would highly recommend.

I've been able to go on a few tours with Chis Doughty to the Western Treatment Plant, The Dandenongs and Braeside and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Chris's professionalism and knowledge is excellent and he aims to give his clients an enjoyable tour. I have no hesitation in reccommending any of his birding tours.

My husband and I just spent a great day birding with Chris! We took his Dandenong Ranges and Braeside Park half day tours, which were combined into a full day tour. We saw 67 different species between the two locations but never felt rushed. Chris' knowledge of birds (both locally and worldwide) is unbelievable! If you want the most knowledgeable and professional guide, I highly recommend that you book with Melbourne Birding Tours.

I recently went on a birding tour of the Dandenong Ranges with Chris for my birthday and it was the most wonderful experience. Chris's knowledge and experience is remarkable, and over the course of a couple of hours we managed to see 32 species and heard some amazing stories about his travels. Chris's tours would suit anyone from the bird-curious to the expert. I can't wait to book in a tour of the Western Treatment Plant. Thanks Chris!

Had a brilliant day with Chris, touring the Western Treatment Plant. His knowledge of the area and all the birds we saw, plus his ability to track down the elusive ones meant we ended the day with over 80 species! An exceptional result for a winter's day. His enthusiasm for all the birds, even the familiar ones, matched ours and his patience at our endless need to photograph everything was refreshing. The WTP is a huge site but we definitely got the most out of it on today's tour. Thanks again Chris.

Chris is an absolute professional with amazing knowledge of all the species around Melbourne/Victoria. He has decades of birding experience locally and abroad. Birding with him is easy, he is very patient and always great to chat with. Would totally recommend him to anyone needing a bird guide or tour.
